The Forming of Twiin

Coincidentally, in 1996 Jonathan Siegel dormed in room 114 of Cornell University's Just About Music Program House - the same room that David Linhart dormed in the year before. They met later that year, after being mistaken for each other several times (more twiin symmetries here).

Since then, they have teamed up in several musical projects, including The Uplifters.

It was in that same music program house that David first saw Miche Fambro perform. They too quickly became friends and drew inspiration from each other's style.

In Twiin, soulful vocals, unorthodox chord voicings, and spacious syncopation meet with more drive than one might expect from only an acoustic bass, an acoustic guitar and a voice. Influences include Nick Drake and Joao Gilberto, Billie Holiday and the Beatles, Bob Marley and Led Zeppelin.

Miche Fambro adds a unique rhythmic base of inventive guitar hits and slaps as well as seasoned guitar licks and a crooner's soulful voice.
